The C-Quester Submersibles are based on a double-hull configuration, which is refered to as the Underwater Boat Concept. The first hull is the so-called exostructure that is the basis for a zero-entanglement design, excellent stability, and unchallenged freeboard.
The second hull is the actual pressure vessel, which is made of high-grade carbon steel and the acrylic dome. This configuration gives the unique advantage that the submersible behaves as a normal boat on the surface, efficiently making use of its available battery capacity and increasing maneuverability.
Another massive benefit of the Underwater Boat Concept is that the C-Quester Submersible can remain in water and does not require storage on a ship or land. This increases operational flexibility, since it makes the submersible operation less dependent on the support of an expensive mother ship.
The C-Questers are so-called one-atmosphere "dry" submersibles.
This means that you (and your passenger, both will stay in a normal one-bar, dry environment, similar as we have on land. So you directly and rapidly return to the surface, without the risk of decompression problems.
Unlike the "wet" type subs, no decompression is required for the passenger(s) of the C-Quester.
With the C-Questers you also can dive straight to the maximum depth of 100 meters and stay there and watch the underwater life, only limited by the endurance of the electric power supply and life support.
